CUEL is committed to achieving the highest Health, Environment and Safety (HES) Standards across all operations and consistently meets or exceeds the needs and expectations of our clients.

To this end CUEL operates a fully developed HES Management System (HESMS) across all operations, which provide a common framework that is used to manage potential HES related risks.

The CUEL HESMS has been developed to meet the requirements of the following standards:

AS/NZS 4360: Risk Management
AS 4801: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Specifications with Guidance for Use
AS/NZS ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems – Specifications with Guidance for Use
Thailand: Labour Law

Core HESMS documentation consists of:

a) HES Policies;
b) HES Management Manual;
c) Company Standard Procedures and forms;
d) HES Improvement Programs;
e) Safety and Environmental Management Plans.

which together cover the following ten key HES elements:

1. Management Commitment and Responsibilities
2. Competency and training
3. Risk Management
4. Communication and Consultation
5. Contractor Management
6. Occupational Health
7. Incident/ Injury Reporting and Investigation
8. Management Audits
9. Management Review and Improvement
10. Company Standard HES Procedures

These 10 key elements are essential for an effective HES management system and are designed to ensure HES risks are continually identified, assessed and controlled.
