CUEL Laem Chabang Yard helps easing blood shortage

Recently, CUEL Limited joined up with Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital in setting up blood donation mobile unit to obtain blood from CUEL donors in Laem Chabang Construction Yard. In this donation, 82 units of blood, equivalent to 32,500 c.c., were collected from 86 CUEL donors which could replenish blood supply for treating patients who have blood-related diseases nationwide.

This blood donation campaign is organised twice a year which allows CUEL staff members and subcontractors to do voluntary service towards society. Each 400cc of blood from each blood donor could help save three lives of blood-related disease patients and enable them to regain better physical stability.

Currently, the blood supply is reduced by more than 50 per cent due mainly to the COVID-19 crisis which causes fear for potential donors that they might get inflected from coming to donate blood, according to the National Blood Centre.

เมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ ซียูอีแอล แหลมฉบังยาร์ด ร่วมกับ โรงพยาบาลสมเด็จพระบรมราชเทวี ณ ศรีราชา จัดตั้งจุดรับบริจาคโลหิตเคลื่อนที่ เพื่อรับบริจาคโลหิตจากพนักงาน การบริจาคโลหิตในครั้งนี้ โรงพยาบาลได้รับบริจาคโลหิตรวมทั้งสิ้น 82 หน่วย หรือมีปริมาณเทียบเท่า 32,500 ซีซี จากพนักงานซียูอีแอลจำนวน 82 คน ซึ่งช่วยเพิ่มปริมาณคลังโลหิตสำรองให้เพียงพอในการรักษาพยาบาลผู้ป่วยทั่วประเทศ

กิจกรรมบริจาคโลหิตดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นปีละสองครั้งเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้พนักงานของบริษัท รวมไปถึงผู้รับเหมาได้ทำกิจกรรมจิตอาสาเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้อื่นในสังคม โดยโลหิตที่ได้รับจากผู้บริจาคแต่ละท่าน 1 ครั้ง สามารถช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยได้ 3 ชีวิต ซึ่งทำให้ผู้ป่วยได้รับโอกาสในการรักษาและกลับมามีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น
